Athenian Spirit

This was a perfect place to call home for a week and I would absolutely recommend it.

Pros: The Athenian Spirit is ideally located within 1.5 minutes walk to the Kerameikos Metro station - a huge tick for convenience. That station is only one or two stops from the tourist hotspots of Athens so is was really easy to get around from our base. Our room was fantastic! A separate bedroom and spacious living/dining room were a treat to have on holiday. The decor was restful, tasteful, minimal and had an air of sofistication. Best of all it was very clean. The staff we met were all friendly and very helpful. We felt very much at home here.

Cons: Most of the eateries in close proximity weren't to my taste but that's not a reflection on the hotel.

Perfect Apartment Hotel in Great Location

Pros: Excellent well kept property providing very spacious apartments in a very contemporary and comfortable environment - the rooms have everything you need including a kitchenette with all the facilities you would expect. The location is perfect being next to the Karameikos Metro (which also goes directly to airport for 9 euros) but you can also walk to Monastiraki in just under 20 minutes. There are also some decent cafés and restaurants in the surrounding area. On weekends there are bars playing music however ear plugs are provided along with other basic toiletries such as shampoo, shower gel, etc. You get very clear instructions via email, prior to you checking in, about entry to the building and how to get your key card - the staff that I came across were very friendly. There is also somewhere you can leave your luggage should you need to after checkout. Overall a great place to stay when visiting Athens.

Excellent place. Next to all gay attractions

Pros: I've stayed in this hotel twice. I really liked the location and the staff. They allowed us to leave our bags for a couple of hours.

Cons: Uhmmm not many things. Just the staff didn't clean out room one day.

Great stay with friendly staff perfect for people who want to party at the weekend

Pros: The staff was especially nice and helped us with any inquires we had. We really enjoyed the fact that the hotel was very close to a subway station which definitely helped with our plan of seeing as much of Athens as possible. We also enjoyed the view from the last level overlooking the city and the acropolis. Also the private balcony was amazing- perfect for having a coffee in the morning or just enjoying the atmosphere at night. We also enjoyed the restaurants by the hotel and suggest you definitely try the gyros at \

Cons: initially when booking, we read that there are a couple of clubs or places that play very load music during the night but because we planned on going in November we thought that, there won't be so much music going on as the summer season is over but sadly we were mistaken. On Friday night as well as Sunday and Saturday there was always loud music playing late at night and while the windows and such help with reducing the noise it is still very much loud and disturbing during the night so much so that we woke up a couple of times during the night because of the loud music. The hotel provides ear plugs but sadly it is not very comfortable to sleep with them. If u plan on staying during the week then it's perfect but at weekend only if u plan on going to party yourself.

Comfortable, good location and value for money

Pros: Great stay. - Excellent staff - special mention to Eleni, who answered our questions, acommodated our requests and provided excellent food recommendations in Athens! - The room was very clean and comfortable. - Kitchenette was equipment for a few nights' stay

Cons: - Unfortunately the air con was centrally controlled. This meant that if more rooms requested cold air, this had an adverse impact on our room, as we would have liked it warmer. - Some more hooks / hanging space would be appreciated. - Bathroom was a bit awkward to manoeuvre with the large sink.

Great location to explore Athens

Pros: Amazing location, that’s its biggest advantage. The place is at the heart of Gazi. Great to explore the city.

Cons: The noise isolation between the rooms was suboptimal, I could easily listen to the music playing and conversations on the rooms on the same floor.

Great apartment just a minute from metro

Pros: The girl at the reception is extremely kind. The check-in process was simple. The location is safe, just a minute’s walk from the metro station,l and aprox 15 minutes from city centre by foot. We didn’t have any issues with noise (we stayed on Friday and Saturday). The space is just the right size, nicely arranged and clean. A nice touch that they left slippers and a scented candle. The rooftop terrace is also lovely. I highly recommend it.

Cons: Nothing to complain about.

Pros: The location is excellent — close to metro, cafes, bars, and restaurants (all within a few steps). I had stayed here before and liked it so much that I chose it again. The host was very friendly, attentive, and quick to respond to every message. The apartment is comfortable, and even though there can be a bit of noise on weekends, that’s expected in such a lively area. I’ve decided that whenever I come to Athens, I’ll stay here again!

Cons: Just a small thing — there were a few stains on the sofa, but nothing major. Everything else was perfect!

Pros: Great location, properly equipped appartement, very friendly staff, balcony a big plus, excellent communication before arrival with clear instructions for check in etc. Very good overall experience.

Cons: The appartement was a bit smaller than envisaged, especially if the sofa is used as a second bed but not a real problem, the huge (covered) balcony compensated a lot.

Pros: Strategic location near the metro (line also to the Airport) and close to the city center, excellent room, cleanliness and courtesy of the staff.
