Georgia's Cozy Apartment in Koukaki

Lucky pick!

Pros: Best possible location, bellow 5 minutes walk from Acropolis metro station. Artisanal gelato downstairs. Plenty of great restaurants, bars, shops and workshops within walking distance. Apartment is spacious, with high ceiling and two balconies to dry swimsuit and chill in the evening. Coffee machine and bottled water welcomed us in very well equipped kitchen. We didn’t had to use AC as the house is proper building with thick walls.

Cons: We failed to buy refill supply for coffee machine. Detailed instructions on local waste separation habits would definitely help to do the right thing.

Perfect!

Pros: We loved the apartment, it was bigger than we expected, very clean and the kitchen was well stocked. Good sound proofing. Georgia was very helpful and communication was easy.

Great location but

Pros: Entire apartment was very spacious with many rooms and beds. There were a variety of furnitures we could use such as tables and television. Kitchen was cute but had sufficient amount of utensils and dishes /cups etc. It was a cozy atmosphere overall with some cute accessories. The location was amazing. It was very close to Acropolis and Acropoli station. Many top-rated restaurants were near the room so we could save huge amount of time for looking for places to eat. There were few spots bars which had many people, it might be considered noisy but we thought it was very safe to walk even at late nights. Overall, it was like 4 out of 5.

Cons: THE HOST IS VERY VERY SLOW TO RESPOND. Usually it took several hours or even whole day to receive response. Also, We asked for additional towers and THE HOST’S FAMILY VISITED OUR HOUSE WITHOUT ASKING WHEN WE WERE NOT AT HOME. Please consider that there were some safety issues.. Most of the iron utensils in the kitchen were either dirty or rotten so we did not feel safe and had to clean them many times repeatedly. Tiny bathtub in the restroom which was so difficult for me to take shower without my skin get touched to the curtains. The water was boiled by the sunlight so if the hot water runs out then the person should take shower with cold water. One of my family members had to experience this.

Good time was had by all.

Pros: Location very near the city center, very clean, apartment was large and airy, the air conditioning was useful on hot nights.

Cons: City center location made it noisy at night and the balcony unusable as a seating area.

Comfortable, superb location, great value for money - a perfect stay.

Pros: I do a LOT of research when travelling. My 3 priorities are comfort, location and value for money. I’d give Georgia’s apartment 10/10 on all 3. Apartment is better than the pics, roomy and SPOTLESSLY clean. It’s more spacious than it looks in the photographs and the furniture is very comfortable while the kitchen is well-equipped. Location is superb - many attractions are within a 10 minute walk and nothing was further than 20 minutes away. It’s also on the edge of a range of bars and restaurants which sit under the shadow of the Acropolis but the apartment itself is quiet for such a central location. The price we paid for a 4 night stay for 4 people (2 adults, a 20 year old and 15 year old) was very reasonable. Staying in a hotel would have been far more expensive for a smaller space. We truly would not stay anywhere else if visiting Athens again - Georgia’s apartment was perfect.

Cons: This is a tough one. I’ve thought long and hard to give an honest review for future travellers. I really cannot think of anything that other travellers might want to take into consideration before booking Georgia’s place. It certainly met all of our needs and we didn’t want for anything.

Pros: Georgia turned out to be a very attentive person. We came home straight from the airport in the morning, thanks for that :) Everything of primary use was in the house .
