Pros: It's a wonderful apartment, beautifully renovated, not the standard cheap short term rental renovation where everything falls apart. Worth mentioning comfy beds, also something that is hard to find. We stayed for a month and truly felt at home. As a matter of fact, already booked it for our next trip to Athens. As for the noise from downstairs mentioned by other reviews - it didn't bother us much but maybe because we stayed during the winter. We actually quite enjoyed the bar downstairs and the little club across the street and visited both a lot.

Cons: Etwas fußkalt.

Excellent value for money!

Pros: Beautiful kitchen and bathrooms. The beds are very comfortable too. The recliner in the living room was also a great touch.

A perfect home away from home - Sunday morning to Friday. Treat Saturdays with caution!

Pros: This is a beautifully laid out and spacious apartment with really comfortable beds. It’s clear that such careful thought has gone into the space - and there is (literally) everything that you need, including a washing machine. Location-wise, we loved the cocktails from the bar downstairs (Ham & Rye), and there are many excellent restaurants nearby. Exarcheia is where Athens shows you its anarchistic side, and the graffiti is everywhere. I have an ongoing Instagram highlight reel dedicated to Athenian Street Art, and it had a lot of great additions this year! The walk down to Monastiraki, Psirri and Plana gives you a chance to walk down Aiolou Street from Omonia, which competes with the Areopagus Way for best walking street in Athens. This was our working home for over a month, with occasional weekends away to the islands. We’ll definitely be trying to book it when we next get the chance!

Cons: Some notes: 1. There are a few bars downstairs, and some of them do play the music until late (1am or so). In Greek summer, we lean into late dinners, and we’re usually out until 11:30pm/midnight, so it was no issue for us. And even on nights in, the double-glazing kept the volume to a minimum. I say that as someone that is quite sensitive to noise, and I’ve seen it mentioned in earlier reviews. 2. That said, the exception was Saturday nights - the first Saturday we were there, the bass from a party in Exarcheia rolled through walls through to about 8am on Sunday morning. It’s just part of the neighborhood vibe - so we tried to be away on Saturday evenings after that! 3. Omonia Square is close by, and it can feel unsafe if you’re walking past it at night, or need to catch the metro.
