Wholly satisfactory.

Pros: We'd stayed at two other apartments in Thessio, our favorite neighborhood in Athens, on other occasions. This was the best of the three. We especially appreciated its proximity to the wooded hills west of the Acropolis. It was a five-minute walk to the broad pedestrianized road leading to the Acropolis (and our favorite restaurant), a ten-minute walk to the #1 metro line, a ten-minute walk in the other direction to the outdoor movie theater and to the dirt path that overlooks the Agora and leads to the Plaka. A large grocery store right around the corner. The apartment itself is well-appointed. Good beds. A rather glamorous bathroom. Largish well-equipped kitchen with adequate work-space. My only complaint is that the lighting for the dining area is a choice between too bright and not bright enough.

Cons: The front-door lock can be tricky. I always got it eventually, but it sometimes took a lot of fiddling. If all else fails, one can descend the steps beside the building and enter the building at the back door, three floors above the front door.
