Solon - Deluxe City Center Apartment

Very comfortable apartment

Pros: A very nice and spacious apartment. It’s located in a quiet area with good sound insulation, allowing for excellent rest. On the other hand, it’s close to a large mall and a metro station that’s just two stops from the city center. Excellent communication with the host: The frying pans were very old and worn out — we mentioned it, and the next morning they brought us new ones. One day we accidentally locked the keys inside the apartment, and they came right away to help us open the door. Very comfortable — I would definitely stay there again.

Cons: The apartment could use a bit of renovation, as you can see the years have taken their toll on the furniture and equipment. However, since these are replaceable items, I didn’t think it was worth lowering the rating. Overall, an excellent apartment.

Great, close to everything

Pros: The location was in a really quite and safe area of Athens, 7 minutes far from the Metro Station. There was a Shopping Mall too and a lot of other Shops, Cafes and Pharmacy around. The Apartment was big enough for 6 persons, everything we needed was there. Clean and comfy. The staff was polite and helpfull. We enjoyed our staying in Athens and Solon Apartment, for sure will choose it next time again.

Great location with parking!

Pros: Great location, just a couple of minutes away from the station and with a secured parking spot right under the appartment

Cons: Consider adding an oven in the kitchen :)

Pros: The location is great, the flat is really big with all appliances nice new and clean. The tube is 7 minutes away on foot next to the mall.

Value for money!

Pros: It had everything we needed for our one night stay. The host went over and behind to arrange transport for us so early in the morning. That was amazing.

Very nice appartment, plenty of space, 5 min walk to food court.

Pros: Very spacious apartment! Big TV ;-) three balconies, good kitchen etc. There is an elevator if you need one. Two bathrooms (only nothing at the wall to hold the shower, so you must shower with the showerhead in your hands) with shower or bath. It's a 5 minute walk to the Mall where you can shop but also can eat for less in the food court. The apartment has a parking place, but we had a peugeot 2008 and it fits, but you need some driving skills for that 😉 overall, had a very nice holiday.

Cons: The neighborhood, it's not really a place where kids can play, its a local neighborhood and nothing touristic.

Great stay in Athens

Pros: The location was a tad bit difficult to find at first. We used the GPS but still had problems. Each time we would take a different route. We finally got it figured out by the last day we were there! The apartment itself was great for us (4 adults) with three bedrooms and two bathrooms. We never used the kitchen other than maybe for coffee/tea. We kept busy sightseeing the two days we were in Athens and were not at the apartment much. The communication was quick and responsive. I had left a clothing item when we left, and Dimitra, with whom I had been corresponding since the initial booking, brought it to me at the hotel we were staying in after returning from the islands. That was definitely above and beyond expectations! I would recommend this apartment to anyone staying in the Athens area, as once you figure out the path to the Metro, it gets a lot easier to travel the city. Thank you so much for the use of this unit - we enjoyed our stay.

Cons: The lockbox was a bit tricky to close back up. The keycard had to be placed just so; if not, the box would not close. We must have spent at least 10 minutes each time we left the unit. We thought maybe a bit larger box would do the trick!

in the main, very good

Pros: very good set up with roof terrace. clean and very good value

Cons: After a late arrival after midnight, we had agreed a 2.00pm check out to allow our party of eight (inc an elderly lady), so we did not have to carry luggage around for hours until our taxi. the host said yes and than at 10.00am we were messaged they had a booking and we needed to vacate by 11.00am for cleaners. The host agreed to allow us to leave the cases, but when we got back at 2.00pm the cleaners had not been so clearly there were no guests after us to check in at 3.00pm and the excuse was a fabrication!

Pros: Very big terraces, the apartment is situated on 2 floors.

Cons: We did not have hot water even after following the instructions and switching on the boiler and waiting for 20-30 min. The rooms were smaller than waht we are used to but you could have a good sleep
