Unique - Spacious Studio with rooftop / Thissio

Great place to stay while discovering Athens

Pros: Amazing stay. The apartment is spacious, quiet, tastefully decorated and very well equipped. The location is convenient, with many of Athens' key places within walking distance, and close to the metro line leading to the port and airport. A big + for the rooftop and the incredible light at sunset. Christos is very flexible and accommodating. I would recommend

Perfect base to explore Athens with a unique character

Pros: Christos is the most helpful host. The arty atmosphere of the accommodation gives it a unique character.

Pros: Christos' studio was the nicest place we stayed at during our two-week holiday in Greece. He greeted us on arrival, explaining all we needed to know about the place and did not mind accommodating to our slightly late arrival. The space is very tastefully decorated, spacious, with lots of natural light and a comfy bed. The kitchen has everything you need too. We only used the rooftop for hanging our laundry to dry as we spent our time visiting the many archaeological sites, bars and restaurants in Athens, but it would be great for having a nice dinner / drink with a view of the city. The location is great too: near the main tourist areas, but also in a quiet location.

Cons: The abundance of light was great during the day. However, the room was also very bright at night (from street lights) and early in the morning. The windows facing the street had shutters that covered most of the window, except for a small part at the top (which was enough to let in a lot of light). The other windows had thin, translucent curtains that did not block any light. This would not put me off from staying there again, but I would have come prepared with a sleeping mask had I known.

Pros: Christos was amazing, very helpful and flexible. Gave us great recommendations for the city and had many booklets on hand that we used to plan our trip. The flat was clean and had everything we could possibly need. We loved our stay and Christos was incredible.

The Eclectic Homely I'mApartment

Pros: Our host was very helpful and great to deal with. He spoke English very well. The apartment is one of the best we've ever stayed in. The kitchen, bathroom, bedroom and dining area are all spacious and so clean. We enjoyed coming back to the apartment after a day out. The area of Thissio is quiet and in easy access to the train stations. In the neighbourhood, we found a bakery, supermarkets, a barbershop for my haircut (awesome job, took great care), and a fruit shop. A short walk of about six minutes from the apartment takes you to an amazing wide strip of cafes, restaurants, souvenir shops and a view of the Acropolis sitting proudly on top of its hill. Stunning view as you walk around. Great accommodation all round.

Cons: The shower is in an old style bathtub, so if you're unable to get in and out, bear this in mind. And as in a number of showers in Europe, there's no shower curtain so water will spray onto the floor tiles. For us, it wasn't a bother as there is a supply of floor mats to use.

Pros: Very special apartment. Good character. Amazing location.

Spacious and artistic studio with a perfect host

Pros: We loved just everything about Christo's place. The studio was much more spacious than expected, with very high ceiling, lots of air and light. The kitchen is fully equipped, the bathroom has toiletries, the bed was very comfy and we have even got fresh linen and towels in the middle of our 9-day stay. One more incredible thing about the place was it's artistic vibe. There are a lot of art supplies, books, music instruments and a vinyl record player with dozens vinyl records. We could use everything and it was a big pleasure. The apartment is located in a very quiet and cosy neighbourhood, but very close to all landmarks (15-min walk to the entrance of Acropolis). Christo was an amazingly carrying and friendly host. We will be really happy to stay at his place again.

Cons: Nothing - everything was perfect.

Pros: Fantastic place and location! The house was the most beautifully decorated place I've stayed so far, with excellent vfm. Also the staff were friendly and helpful, making our stay a wonderful experience! Many thanks! Nikitas
