Comfortable hotel in a great location

Pros: The room was very clean and tidy. I especially loved the balcony view of Athens’ highest point. The staff were friendly, and the housekeeper was lovely—she always kept the room spotless. The hotel’s location is also very convenient: there’s a park nearby for walks, and all the major sights are within easy reach. A special thanks to the receptionist who got us a taxi to the airport in just three minutes. We’ll definitely be back! Highly recommend.

Cons: Slightly noisy due to the roadside location, but it’s a minor drawback if you sleep well.

We stayed 4 night after 2 weeks on islands before flying home

Pros: Extremely clean. We had a problem with one of the amenities and it was fixes almost immediately. The team were very helpful and responsive. Very close to a lovely park and we found it an easy walk to most of the sites.

Cons: Not the best view from our room over an abandoned outdoor cinema.

Good value hotel at this price point.

Pros: Check in was very easy, staff were always super helpful and accommodating. Felt very safe and secure here in the hotel.

Cons: There was no shower in our room, only a bath… not sure if this the norm, just not what we were expecting! If you are a light sleeper, I do recommend requesting a sound proof room, there was a lot of noise from the street.

Our “go to” hotel in Athens

Pros: We always stay at Areos when we visit Athens. The hotel is very close to the National Archaeological Museum. It is also very handy for a number of good restaurants and bars around, the once troubled but now in the process of gentrification, Plateia Exarcheion area.

Cons: Reception is only staffed for a few hours a day requiring you to use key code for the front door if you’re checking in at the hotel in the evening.

Pros: Huge private terrace with great views and good for chilling out. Comfortable bed. More of a residential neighborhood. Transport links. Good bakers and cafes nearby for breakfast. Good restaurants and bars in Exarcheia and around Biktoria.

Cons: The bath tub with a hand held shower was inconvenient when you just want a shower. As some people have said, the Radisson nearby occasionally has roof-top parties - they don't tell Areos when.
