Piraeus Theoxenia Hotel

Pros: Very well located near Dimotheko Theather Station.

A good location for Pireaus and the metro makes the centre of Athens easy to get to,

Pros: Location and checkin went well. The room was on the sixth floor so the demolition site that was next to the hotel did not unduly disturb us. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. It was a good location for the metro into Athens and the airport.

Cons: A kettle and drink making options in the room.

Charming smaller hotel in Athens. For the price i paid it was very nice place to stay at.

Pros: Located in a safe neighborhood of Athens. The port, metro lines 1 and 3, and important parts of Piraeus are located within walking distance. If you wish to go to the center of athens, it is cca 30 minutes by metro. Rooms were nicely furnished and contained everything i needed. Services were also good. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Cons: Depending on the orientation of your room you might be facing a road, but fortunatelly it is one of those local ones, not major highway., For some people the 30-minute commute to the center of Athens might be a deal-breaker If you plan to come by can, be aware that there is almost no place to park your car.

Pros: Huge room, faded air a bit shabby. But at that price it was perfect

Cons: If it had cost more I might not have been so happy!

Hidden Gem

Pros: Second stay here and it's ideal for football at Olympiakous Stadium.

Cons: Disappointed the pool was closed (as it was in March). I understand it's seasonal, but when it's 22 degrees in March or November, I'd like a relaxing dip.

We enjoyed our brief stay and would stay again.

Pros: The room was spacious, bed comfortable, place was clean, the staff very helpful and friendly. The restaurant and food were good and breakfast excellent. If you use the restaurant, try the feta cheese rolls starter. Wow!

Cons: The immediate area surrounding was a bit scruffy and the hotel furnishings maybe a little used, but I’d say this hotel has been quite grand in its younger days. Check out the window fixtures with the hotel initials in metal. A nice touch.

In this price we love everything the breakfast was also fresh and lovely

Pros: We arrived at 10am morning the woman tell us we have to wait until 3 pm for the rooom because we are little bit early but after 50 minutes she said our room is ready was lovely surprise after long travel because we where sleeping until 4 pm and later we went to the gym on downstairs and swimming pool on the roof! Cons: The room was huge and clean everything was in the room even earstick for clean the ears! Very fresh

Nice hotel, pleasant stay

Pros: It was clean and well presented. The staff were friendly, particularly the guy at the breakfast area (George).

Cons: We originally only booked for one night. However, because of a ferry strike we needed an extra night. I sent three separate messages via Booking.com to ask how we should go about it. We got no response whatsoever. So, I just booked an additional night and hoped that it could be added on to our existing booking. All that worked fine so no problem there. My only point is they do not respond to messages on Booking.com.

Piraeus

Pros: Location was great for the port and for the tram to the beaches. The metro from the airport goes all the way so no need to change. And getting back into the city centre is on the same line so it was super easy. The room was clean and spacious. There were enough breakfast options to suit anyone and the staff were friendly and helpful. Overall I would stay again as it was good value for money. The area of Piraeus is also worth a look!

Cons: My bed was a bit uncomfortable as it felt like two single beds put together as a king. I also thought the 5 star rating was misleading.
