Delightful 1BD Apartment in Plaka by UPSTREET

Pros: Great location, easy to reach all the main sights, restaurants and train stations, but in a quiet backstreet, so nice and quiet. Comfortable beds and good, consistent hot water in shower. An ensuite bathroom, as well as a very convenient second toilet! Full kitchen, coffee machine and handy coffee pod machine!

Cons: Bathroom and toilet were a bit tight and shower screen rather flimsy, with loose trim.

Pros: Great position, really excellent to visit Athens and easy access to the public transport for the locations further away. Spacious flat. Functional, well equipped kitchen if you want to make your own food. The living room area was great to relax when recovering from the summer heat.

Cons: We got only two towels each. No shower carpet, no extra towel for hair/drying your hands.

Pros: My stay at the UPSTREET apartment in Plaka was WONDERFUL! The location of the apartment is probably the best in all of Athens. It's in the historic old town, but also a 5-10 minute walk to three major metro stations (Monastiraki, Akropoli, Syntagma). The place was clean, spacious (two bathrooms, a big kitchen with many amenities, two balconies, big living room and dinner area) and you can even glimpse the Acropolis from the roof terrace. (Yes, there's a roof terrace!) Our friends who booked an apartment with a different company were jealous of us for the whole week. The hosts checked in with me throughout the stay in case I had any questions, and replied promptly when I did. I can only highly recommend this place to anyone who wants to come to Athens.

Very comfortable and well equipped unit in great location

Pros: Overall it was a very comfortable stay in a great location. The bed was suitably large and very comfortable. A washing machine and dryer were very welcome inclusions with even enough detergent for a couple of loads.

Cons: The lounge was unfortunately not at all comfortable. We took advantage of the access to Netflix but could not sit on the lounge to watch.Apart from that the place . We found it a bit stingy to have only 3 coffee pods provided for two people having paid for four nights

Nice but warm

Pros: The apartment is in a great location - on a quiet street but in the centre. It’s walking distance to most tourist attractions so it’s great for first timers in Athens. There are roller shutters on the windows which keep the bedroom nice and dark for those who like to sleep in.

Cons: The internet would often drop out and required constant restarting of the router. Air conditioning was okay but never really felt cool. The bedroom still felt warm even with the door closed and aircon turned to the lowest setting

Cosy and perfect location

Pros: Clean and homely. Walking distance from tourist attractions and the best restaurants

Cons: Would be nice if there were blackout curtains in the bedroom but that’s it! Perfect place.

Enjoyable stay in Plaka during our trip to Athens.

Pros: We enjoyed the stay. The location was excellent. The room is clean.

Cons: We had to walk from the drop-off point in Plaka. It was a little difficult to find the location and the room. The instruction was not sufficient.

The apartment is great. The only thing is the check in time, it could be more flexible.

Pros: The apartment and location is great. We were traveling with a toddler, and the position of the apartment close to many attractions was a must, and it really facilitated our stay. The apartment was fully equipped with all necessary and the host was very responsive. Will definitely stay there again.

Cons: There is no elevator. Though it is in the first floor. With a stroller it is a bit not easy. The check in at 15.00 is not fine, since we landed in the morning and had to drop our luggage at a drop point for 5€. We ask for an earlier check in and the host at first replied it was not possible. Than they called and we could access the apartment at 12.00 pm.
