Pros: When I arrived to pick up the keys, they told me that the apartment had a problem but that I could stay at the hotel with breakfast included, without paying any extra, which was fine with me.The hotel is close to the metro and the facilities are comfortable.

Pros: I originally booked an apartment, but upon arrival I was accommodated at Athens Golden City Hotel instead. I didn’t mind the change at all perhaps there was an issue with the apartment and I’m actually happy to share my experience at this hotel, as it’s a place where I’ve stayed so many times. The beds and pillows are very comfortable, the cleanliness is superb, and the buffet breakfast is absolutely delicious. The staff are nice and just quiet. The rooms are well-equipped with amenities such as lotion, shampoo, conditioner, hand soap, and a hair dryer everything you need for a comfortable stay. I always choose to stay here when I want to relax and unwind, and I would 100% recommend it, even for long-staying guests.

Cons: Nothing in particular I just think the area outside isn’t very safe.

Comfortable stay and all good impressions.

Pros: We were upgraded to stay at the Golden City hotel instead of the apartments property, due to there not being any separate 2 bed rooms left; it was very clean, the room was tended to every day of our stay. Breakfast buffet was included in the mornings. Staff were helpful and friendly. The bed and pillows were comfortable - not too firm or too soft. TV in the room with all entertainment options - Netflix, YouTube, etc. Nice view from the balcony and beautiful terrace at the hotel restaurant.

Review for Golden city hotel and not Downtown apartment

Pros: I arrived at the key collection point (Golden city hotel) and just when I got terrified of the area apartment was, I was pleasantly surprised when the staff of the hotel informed me they could arrange the room in the hotel instead of the apartment, and also offered complimentary breakfast. The room was very clean, with nice terrace and great cosmetics. Breakfast was quite good, served at the rooftop restaurant. I was surprised that so many of the travelers were complaining about switching the apartment for the hotel room, since for me this was huge upgrade.

Cons: As everyone is stating in the reviews, area hotel is located in is sincerely horrible. As a solo traveler, I was very cautious and never walked the nearby streets at the night, There are a lot of policemen around, though, so that slightly improves the impression.
