Cool area

Pros: Loved the area and the locals. Plenty of places to eat and drink with reasonable prices, without walking far. Main metro and taxi stand about 15 minutes walk.

Pros: Very comfortable apartment in a trendy shabby-chic area of Athens with lots of nice bars and cafés. If is EXCEPTIONALLY quiet, unless construction work is being done nearby. I really liked the kitchen/dining area, the spacious lounge, and the 3 small balconies, including a table and 2 chairs to sit outside on the balcony. And the quiet in the middle of the city was amazing.

Cons: The bathroom/toilet is so miniscule (2 m² of free floor space, if I'm generous) it's hard to get out of the shower without hitting yourself on the wash basin, and ditto when you want to use the toilet. Large/corpulent people may find the dimensions difficult.

Pros: Das Apartment ist toll gelegen, auf einem Hügel mit schönem Ausblick. Es gibt mehrere Balkone, von denen aus man entweder in einen Innenhof mit einem Zitronenbaum blickt, oder auf die Straße und den Lykabettus-Hügel. Obwohl man fußläufig von dort aus gut alle wichtigen Dinge erreichen kann, ist es sehr ruhig. In der Umgebung gibt es viele schöne Cafés, Bars und Geschäfte - und Samstags auch einen Markt in der Straße am Fuß des Hügels. Der Vermieter ist freundlich und hilfsbereit und hat immer sehr zuvorkommend auf meine Fragen geantwortet. Das Apartment ist liebevoll eingerichtet und perfekt ausgestattet mit allem, was man für einen Aufenthalt benötigt - ich habe mich dort sehr wohl gefühlt und würde jederzeit gern zurückkehren.
