I was traveling alone, and I felt completely comfortable and safe throughout my stay. The staff were incredibly professional, kind, and always ready to help with a smile. My room was spotless every single day, which made me feel relaxed and at home. The location couldn’t have been better — perfect for visiting all the historical landmarks and exploring the beauty of Athens with ease. If I visit Athens again, I already know exactly where I’ll be staying. Highly recommended! 💛

Good hotel in a fabulous location

Pros: Good location, clean premises, polite and exceptionally pleasant hotel staff.

Cons: No safety handrails in the shower and slippery floor are the risk hazard for elderly guests like ourselves.

Pros: Excellent .location I had a room with a balcony with a view of the Parthenon. It also has a very good roof top restaurant

Cons: The only major problem was the bed the mattress was very soft offered no support and I awoke with back pain

Pros: Brekfast was very good, wide choice, 360 degree nice view, coffee is excellent. The hotel is close to the main sights, everything within walking distance, the museum, Acropolis, National garden, Plaka district, Syntagma square, restaurants. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Cleaning every day.

Cons: Little street noise, you have to keep the balcony door closed, but taken into consideration that the hotel is near to a busy road it was acceptable and overall I could sleep well. Good soundproofed walls because we didnt hear anything from our neighbours.

Pros: We've stayed at the Athens Gate Hotel a few times and have thoroughly enjoyed it every time. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. The buffet breakfast is excellent and the top-floor restaurant serves a high quality dinner menu. Rooms are clean and well-equipped and serviced. The hotel is located just a short walk from important archaeological sites, museums, city centre shopping and Plaka district. All in all, we find it to be a great place to stay when visiting Athens.

Cons: Small lifts, but perfectly functional although tight when arriving/ leaving with luggage. Staff were also more than happy to help.

Fantastic location in central Athens

Pros: Fantastic location - central to all major tourist sites of the city. There is an incredible view of the acropolis from the breakfast room (just make sure you sit on the right side!) The staff are all very friendly and efficient. The room was immaculately clean.
