Pergamos Hotel

Highly recommended!

Pros: Close to Plaka and many attractions. Very good value hotel, stylish, and with very friendly staff.

See different sides of Athens for a low cost.

Pros: A very priceworth hotel in an area there you meet everyday life of Athens. Yes, there are people sleeping rough but if you avoid the blocks with drug addicts ( staff will tell you which way to go ) they do you no harm. It’s sad to see so many people homeless but if you can’t stand the sight of them, I suggest get a room at the Hilton. The beds are ok, the bathroom small but functional. Cheap restaurants nearby. Walkable distance to the big sights. Staff are friendly. There are a couple of cute cats but they stay around the reception. Beautiful paintings in the stairs.

Cons: We have no complaints but a floor towel and shower mat would be great.

Warm-hearted, tidy and budget friendly accommodation with a practical location!

Pros: Great value for price! Not a fancy hotel but very very friendly staff and lovely atmosphere. The location was practical because we were interested in the Exarcheia area and it was close to the location. For such a cheap price me and my friend were pleased to have a reliable and clean accommodation and everyone in the staff was super nice. We also loved the cat who lives downstairs in the hotel. It was also easy to travel there by bus from the airport. I might come to the same hotel again when I'll be travelling to Athens! There was also a huge balcony, so when it's warm and sunny that will be handy.

Cons: Someone was maybe smoking in their hotel room, because we smelled a bit of cigarette smoke. The smell wasn't strong, but maybe if someone in really sensitive to the odour they might want to consider. People travelling with their fancy pants on probably know that they should book something more expensive :)

A great place offer the really best value for money

Pros: It really was great value for money. It was clean and confortable with great staff. Whilst the hotel was simple it really did meet all of our needs with 24 hour reception. It is a really great place for the budget traveller who wants to make their money go as far as it can.

Cons: It was simple and that was its strength. There was nothing that I did not like. Had we wanted all of the five star hotel facilities we could have booked into a five star hotel and paid a five star price leaving little money for anything else.

Pros: The position is good to the centrum the staff was very friendly.

Cons: The area around the hotel was unlike.

Pros: Good price for what you get. Near to the city centre. They changed the towels and the amenities every day.

Cons: The neighbourhood next to the hotel is full of creepy people like drug addicts. Did not insulted us but it was scary in the evening.

Much better than some reviews indicate.

Pros: Much better than many reviews indicate. There was no cigarette smell or noise , and although the shower was small leaks onto the floor could be dealt with . Easily reached from Omonia station . Helpful reception staff gave excellent restaurant recommendation. The middle eastern cafe on the next corner towards Omonia serves delicious inexpensive food as well. There is also a supermarket nearby. Good value for money especially for Australians as a similar hotel in Sydney would cost three times the price I paid at Pergamos .

Cons: About half way between the station and the hotel the area is a little rough . However as an older woman travelling on my own I didn’t feel unsafe.

Pros: Some reviews here make the place sound catastrophic. This was far from the truth for me - I took a leap of faith and it was worth it. The room was clean, no bed bugs or sheet stains, with the necessary amenities, and the neighborhood is a bit dodgy but I am a solo traveler white female and still I felt safe. The 24h reception was a big plus. As well as the convenient location and the affordable price.

Cons: The smell of stale cigarette is true and is everywhere. As an ex smoker I didn't terribly mind but I can see how that can be very upsetting for some people. The interior decorations are a bit tacky but I personally found them on the vintage side. All in all, for a short stay it was perfect. And the receptionist helpful. But if you are on a long / romantic vacation, you can do better than this.

Sehr zentrale Lage! Für wenige Nächte (bei mir 3) okay, sonst eher eine Zumutung.

Pros: Zentrale Lage, Klimaanlage, freundlicher und hilfsbereiter Concierge

Cons: das Zimmer war sehr klein. Für zwei Personen vermutlich recht schwierig. Schimmel in der Dusche.

Pros: Top locatie! Binnen 15min sta je bij Monasteriki, en maximaal 10 min lopen naar station Omonia... Kamer is fijn, perfect voor een kort verblijf!

Cons: De wijk kan een beetje afschrikken, vooral s'avonds.... wij hebben ons niet onveilig gevoeld, en mensen waren vriendelijk
