Athens Golden City Hotel

Apart from the inconvenience with the waiter during breakfast, everything was fine.

Pros: Perfectly clean, comfortable and cozy. Rich and extensive breakfast. Friendly staff from the cleaning lady to the reception staff.

Cons: The only complaint is the rudeness of the waiter during breakfast. On the first day during breakfast, he told me in a very rude tone to remove the plate from the display case while I was pouring the food, even though there was no other place where I could have put the plate down, I apologized to him, amazed at how rude he was. On the day of check-out from the hotel during breakfast, our 4-year-old child did not want to eat the sandwich I made for him, it was too early for him, so I decided to bring it so that he could eat it later. The waiter forbade it in a very unpleasant tone. We told him that the child didn't eat anything, that breakfast was included in the price we paid, but he told us to leave it without any humanity. I understand that it is not right for each of the guests to bring food from the breakfast, but this is a child who has not eaten, and he follows that breakfast because he is paid. We won't fail for that one breakfast, but with this kind of staff, the hotel looks like it will. Very pathetic and humiliating.

Pros: Location is accessible to everywhere and the breakfast was good as well.

Cons: Nothing.

Pros: The hotel overally is a great choice to stay in. Kind, helpful staff, beautiful, clean room, the breakfast is very good (personally I requested gluten-free option and they provided it to me). I can only recommend this hotel!

Cons: A little bit noisy, because of the traffic on the road.

Pros: It is really the best place to stay in regard to its modest price and the staff was very friendly and the breakfast was delicious and the rooms were very clean and every day in the morning the bed linen is changed, a clean elevator and a spacious waiting space and there was no inconvenience and as for the location of the hotel it is for the rest of the neighboring hotel in the best place and the best design I thank the providers and the caretakers and I want to thank especially the man who wears glasses I apologize for this description but I do not know his name but he is very friendly beautifully 😇🤍

Cons: There was a man who looked at me constantly every time I went outside and went in and that's not a problem. I'm grateful for the service and customers.

Pros: Hotel staff friendly and service was first class one small concern room spotless but a bit small

Cons: Everything hotel wise was good the surrounding area a wee bit dodgy but to be fair no one bothered us the area is not good for women alone

Perfect hotel for us

Pros: We stayed there earlier in our trip and when we returned from Crete we decided to stay there again. Great staff, great location, wonderful breakfast options. Fabulous coffee and snacks and cakes in the lobby cafe. A wonderful sanctuary from the bustle of Athens. Easy walk to so many good places to eat.

Cons: I didn't want to leave.

Pros: Such a convenient location to metro. Great little coffee shop in the lobby. Fabulous breakfast included in the price. In the past 5 years we have been to Europe 3 times and Japan twice - this hotel has the friendliest, most helpful staff we have ever experienced. Great value.

Pros: All was good! Perfect view from dinner room. Clean room, breakfast has everything, no frills. the staff is smiling and unobtrusive. The rooms are a bit dated, but clean and well maintained.

Cons: The only thing that slightly spoils the experience is the area where the hotel is located. There are a lot of marginalized people around who use drugs without even hiding.

Pros: Nice lobby with its little bar + comfortable couches, rooftop breakfast, I would recommend this place..

Cons: Would have enjoyed the possibility of an à la carte breakfast, no view of the Acropolis but it's alright
